9 June 2009: I liked the variety of light I managed to capture throughout this photo, didn’t quite get the level of detail I wanted, and the slightly overexposed area in the middle really annoys me, but I guess you can’t win them all.

I don’t think your detail is terribly awful. You wouldn’t want to go any flatter to bring anymore out… nice use of symmetry and negative space.
Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate the feedback. I did do a darker version which brought out a lot more detail but I preferred the starker contrast with the black background in this one.
